The House of the Rooster is an ancient Tuscan Villa in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. Each space is furnished in a unique way, with a taste that combines the Tuscan rural tradition and the Art of ‘600, the period of the Villa’s construction. A location out of time, perfect for relaxing from the intense rhythm of the city and regenerating in the quiet of the nature, surrounded with the Tuscan hills.

Our Villa is located in Barberino Tavarnelle, an ideal place to explore one of the most beautiful areas of the world. From here you can easily reach Florence, San Gimignano, Siena, and explore the wineries settled in the hills of the Chianti Classico.

Opera in the Kitchen was an incredible experience! The location is absolutely stunning and Lucrezia and her team provide a warm and engaging welcome. My husband and I booked their pasta cooking class on Cesarine and it was the highlight of our trip to Italy. The experience provided history, intimacy, and a true farm to table experience with a lovely walk through their vineyard, harvesting herbs from their garden, and fresh ingredient cooking. Dinner with strangers was nothing short of amazing sharing quality time over a delicious meal, prosecco, and wine. A beautiful opera singer was presented, and the performance was stunning! A thoughtfully curated experience - Would highly recommend!

My evening at the Opera in the Kitchen was nothing short of enchanting! From the delicious home-cooked dinner we made with fresh, local ingredients (from their garden), to the delightful wine tasting at their charming vineyard, every moment was a treat for the senses. The highlight of the night was the enchanting opera performance, which set a perfect, timeless ambiance (over dessert & limoncello!). The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. This experience was truly unforgettable and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, memorable night in the countryside. Thank you for a beautiful evening!

Our family of four had an AMAZING experience. The hosts arranged for pick-up in Florence, which made getting there easy and convenient; our driver Stefano was very kind. We made cavatelli from scratch and other dishes with the help of the friendly and helpful Chef Cristina. The dishes that we helped prepare all came out wonderfully and tasted so fresh. We loved hearing about the history of the villa that the experience takes place in. Everything was delicious… from the wine made on the property to the pannacotta we had for dessert. The cost of the experience is extremely reasonable for all that is included. Last, and certainly not least, the opera performance by Sabrina was outstanding. I feel honored to have had this experience, and it is something I will remember always!

Our family of four had an amazing experience at Opera in the Kitchen. Lulu and her fabulous staff made everyone feel at home. From touring the grounds, picking our vegetables, preparing the meal and finally eating the final product….every step was organized and inviting. Making the entire group feel like family. We walked in as 15 strangers, but walked out as friends exchanging contacts. The opera serenade during dessert was the icing on the cake!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Our family loved this experience! This was so much fun. We made two different types of pasta as well as a dessert. We started out picking fresh veggies from the garden that we then incorporated into our meal. Our kids had a great time as well and made the dessert all by themselves when they thought was neat. We would definitely do this again!

Fantastic experience!!!! We spent a day in complete serenity and joy, preparing typical traditional dishes. Lucrezia and Cristina are true hosts, competent and friendly. The moment dedicated to opera singing made this day even more pleasant. The place, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, surrounds the CASALE with stories that bring to mind values and feelings not to be forgotten and always remembered. THANK YOU.🤗

The guests of the event was wonderful. From Australia, Kenya, Indian, America and Canada.The 4 courses we’ve serve 3 out of 4 are vegetarian except the pasta with bits of sausage. Entries are all vegetarian crostini, then the pasta sausage and main course are eggplant lasagna, finished with a small panna cotta with strawberries. Dinner is company with a female opera singing.Cooking : 2Dishes : 2Opera entertainment: 3Price per head: 1, over priceWine serve: 2, serve in a Carafe. Never seen the bottle label.Wish them well running the business in future.

Wow! This was an evening we will never forget. This was one of many experiences we had on our month long vacation in the area and it was absolutely the best one! Totally worth every penny! The host was excellent, the class was very fun and the opera was wonderful! Who knew a group of strangers could have so much fun together and leave as friends! The whole experience was 5 stars. I highly recommend this to everyone! It’s been almost 3 weeks and we are still taking about it! Thank you!

My husband and I did this while on our 2-week honeymoon in Italy. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! Lucrezia was so friendly and helpful, the property was beautiful, the food we cooked was delicious, the wine was plentiful, and the opera singer was just phenomenal. What a way to spend our time in Tuscany. Highly recommend!

Very nice place.The host lucrezia and the chef Matteo was great.We don't like to cook, but the lessons was fantastic.They both gave us a family fill.We are recommending a lot.The garden very nice. Opera in the KitchenThis was a wonderful event at so many levels. It gives the international traveler a way to connecting with fellow travelers from around the world in a comfortable, fun setting. Conversation flows easy as you prepare evening meal together under the guidance of an experienced chef, drink wine and eat together.Our group was interacting with one another as if they were old friends. This event made that possible in a unique way. The cooking class was top-notch, everyone on the team was polite and professional.After dinner we enjoyed wonderful opera selections accompanied by classical harpist.This event exceeded my expectations. It was very moving. I would highly recommend this anyone traveling in the area. Hats off to Lucrezia and her team.
